These terms are between you and verrou, Inc., a Delaware corporation, which operates rouage as one of its brands. They cover your use of this website. Consulting and development engagements with rouage are governed by a separate written agreement — a proposal or statement of work — and where that agreement and this page differ, the agreement wins.
The content of this site — text, the gear mark, page design — belongs to rouage. You’re welcome to link to it and quote it with attribution. Don’t pass it off as your own or use the rouage or verrou marks to imply endorsement.
Ownership of engagement deliverables is set in the signed agreement — and our standard position is the one this site advertises: the code, documentation, and tests we build for you are yours outright. What we retain is the underlying know-how — our templates, our tooling, and the generalized techniques and experience of doing the work — which we remain free to use.
Engagements involve sensitive information in both directions. We protect what you share with us, use it only for the work, and treat findings and deliverables as your confidential information. The precise obligations live in the signed agreement or NDA — which controls if it and this page ever disagree.
When you hand us code, systems, or data — for a build, an integration, or a review — you’re confirming you have the right to share it and to authorize the work on it. Don’t give us access to third-party material you aren’t entitled to share; responsibility for scope you weren’t authorized to grant stays with you.
The site is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we make no promises that it is error-free, complete, or always up. Content here is general information, not professional advice for your specific situation.
One more honest caveat: a security review reflects a point in time and an agreed scope. It makes shipping safer; it cannot make a breach impossible, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
To the maximum extent the law allows, rouage is not liable for damages arising from your use of this website. Liability in actual engagements is addressed in the engagement agreement, where it belongs.
Don’t attack the site, probe it beyond what responsible disclosure covers, scrape it abusively, or use the contact form to spam us.
Pages link to external sites — including verrou. We’re responsible for our sites, not the rest of the internet.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and disputes belong to the courts there — unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
If these terms change, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
